Online counselling & psychotherapy (UK) - positive mental health and wellbeing
Meet Jacqui
Hello, my name is Jacqui.
I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
My core approach to counselling is humanistic. I celebrate individuality, strive for equality, and believe that we are at our happiest and least stressed when able to be our genuine self with others.
Sessions with me can help you to look at the issues that are important to you.
Whatever difficulties you are going through, I am here to listen with compassion, to support and encourage you, and to guide you through the therapeutic process.
Everyone is unique, and your counselling should be as individual as you are.
" Oh Jacqui, thank you so much for our sessions! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and feel like a new and better person thanks to you. I’m happy to have explored my inner world and tidied up numerous loose ends "

" Sessions with Jac have helped me navigate through an unexpected life curve ball and face my past in a healthy non-judgemental way. She truly cares about supporting you and has an art of understanding her clients more than they know. After 12 weeks, I feel that I have grown and learned more about who I am - I couldn't recommend Jac more! "

My work is informed by counselling training, psychological learning and research, lived experience, and a commitment to professional and personal development.
In addition to counselling, I have facilitated positive parenting groups, domestic abuse awareness courses, and worked as a wellbeing advisor.
As well as working in private practice, I provide counselling services for the mental health charity Wiltshire MIND.
I am an integrative counsellor, and my core approach is humanistic. My work is trauma-informed and I use elements of Trauma Informed Stabilisation Therapy (TIST) where appropriate and helpful.
Sessions are client-centred and I will give you opportunities to work in a way that feels right for you. I can offer you support, openness, and acceptance, and will collaborate with you in creating an environment that feels safe to explore your experiences at your own pace.
SEE BELOW FOR A FULL BIOGRAPHY AND MORE INFORMATION
Originally from the Midlands, I currently live in Wiltshire with my partner, our dog and two cats. I have two children, both now in their twenties.
In 2020 I was diagnosed with a chronic health condition that affects my mobility (fibromyalgia), which is why I now work online rather than from a counselling room.
Before becoming a counsellor, my career involved supporting children, young people, parents, and families who were trying to negotiate the many and varied challenges in life that try to throw us off course. Much of that work involved listening and providing a safe space for people to explore their thoughts, behaviours and emotions. This is what led to my formal training as a therapeutic counsellor. I then developed my professional development by studying a Masters in Psychology and I now provide online therapeutic counselling and psychology for anyone wanting to talk about and explore their concerns and difficulties.
As well as being trauma-informed, my work is Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed and I have found this way of working particularly helpful for many clients.
Working as an integrative counsellor means that I can give you opportunities to work in a way that feels right for you. That may include, for example, focusing on situations, thoughts and feelings in the present; looking at experiences and memories from the past; exploring relationships, behaviours and habits; or thinking about identity, roles and your own personal sense of self. It may also involve thinking about what you want for the future.
I can offer you support, openness, and acceptance, and will collaborate with you in creating an environment that feels safe to explore your experiences at your own pace.
I welcome individuality and diversity,
am neurodivergent-affirmative, and an LGBTQ+ ally.

Research and statistics
My work is informed by counselling training, psychological learning and research, lived experience, and a commitment to professional and personal development.
I believe that counselling can transform lives - helping us to manage difficult emotions, negotiate challenging life experiences, and explore unwanted thoughts and behaviours.
Counselling can open our eyes to new possibilities, boost our confidence, resilience and self-esteem, and improve our mental health and physical wellbeing.
With the right therapeutic relationship counselling has the capacity to be life-changing.
