~ Jacqui Miller BA (Hons); Dip Couns; MBACP ~
Hello, my name is Jacqui.
I am an integrative therapeutic counsellor, and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
My core approach to counselling is humanistic. I celebrate individuality, strive for equality, and believe that we are at our happiest and least stressed when able to be our genuine self with others.
Sessions can help you to look at the issues that are important to you.
Together we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment.
Whatever difficulties you are going through, I am here to listen with compassion, to support and encourage you, and to guide you through the counselling process.
Everyone is unique, and your counselling should be as individual as you are.
Talking to a counsellor can be a very positive experience and may benefit anyone wanting to understand more about themselves, or make changes in their life.
Often, simply having a safe and judgement-free space in which to talk openly and honestly can quickly make a positive difference to how we feel.
Counselling can open up new possibilities, boost confidence, resilience, and self-esteem, and improve mental health and physical wellbeing. With the right therapeutic relationship counselling has the capacity to be life-changing.
To help you achieve your counselling goals, I can offer you compassion, support, openness, and acceptance, and will collaborate with you in creating an environment that feels safe to explore your experiences at your own pace.

"This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honourably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent as a guide from beyond."
